As promised in our previous newsletter, our intention is to keep you up-to-date on a regular basis with new ideas, new openings, congress & meeting locations, restaurants, great offers and surprising deals in The Netherlands.
Even though it is still winter we love our beaches here in Holland! For example in Noordwijk and Egmond aan Zee there are numerous possibilities for having Corporate meetings and Conferences. Next to that we have a new item in our newsletters called “If I were a tourist in…” in which our Project Managers give you inside information on restaurants, activities and other hidden treasures in their preferred city.

 | Successful Holland Expedition!
Earlier this month we invited ten meeting planners to show them the destinations Noordwijk & Amsterdam.
Noordwijk
“The beach of Amsterdam” is very popular for high-level events. The beautiful beach at the Northsea is a great escape for delegates who need some fresh air... or some exercise. There are two excellent 5 star conference hotels, with all the facilities you can think of. They explored Grand Hotel Huis ter Duin and Hotels van Oranje and realized how close to Schiphol Airport they are.
Amsterdam
In 2 days we saw almost everything Amsterdam has to offer! We had coffee in the highest building, lunch on a beautiful salon boat, a GPS tour on foot with stops at various locations, a unique liquor tasting and a painting workshop as a teambuilding activity and lots more!

 | Meetings in Hotel Zuiderduin
Another popular beach area in The Netherlands is Egmond aan Zee, located just 50 minutes North from Amsterdam. At only 100 meters from the beach you can find Hotel Zuiderduin, the perfect location for your meeting! This 4* hotel has 300 rooms and several meetings rooms for up to 1500 persons. Next to that the hotel has a beautiful inside swimming pool, sauna and wellness centre for relaxing on rainy days, a pub, a bistro, a restaurant and fitness facilities.  | If I were a tourist in.... Rotterdam!
The ideal combination for me is a big city and water! That is why I adore Dutch cities like Rotterdam a lot. During the Second World War, almost the entire inner city was destroyed during a bombing raid. Immediately after the end of the war, reconstruction began. It resulted in a specious feel, modern and courageous architecture. The city now has an innovative and sophisticated atmosphere. I would suggest you to visit the inner-city docklands because of the attractive, lively areas with busy pavement cafés, innovative architecture, unique bridges and an excellent choice of shops and restaurants. My favorite place is the extraordinary fish restaurant Las Palmas with a unique view across the water. Try a water-cab, and speed over the water towards the city. In the evening my favorites place is the cutting-edge club Off_Corso for a drink and dance, because of the high standards and the good music! However, there is still one thing on my “to do” list for my next visit to Rotterdam; abseiling from the Euromast (altitude of 100 metres)!

 | Maastricht - Gateway to Europe!
Maastricht is a unique city in the very south of Holland and actually one of the oldest cities in The Netherlands. Because of its old history there is a lot of Roman influence in this area called Limburg, which results in amazing landscapes, beautiful nature, numerous castles, many caves and great culinary treasures. Besides this, Maastricht also has the MECC, the Maastricht Exposition & Congress Centre which offers 30.000m2 of fairground, a congress centre with two music halls and meeting rooms for up to 1.650 persons. This means that you can combine your event or congress with adventurous team building activities in and around Maastricht and wonderful dinners in historical places as well as Michelin star restaurants.
The city is easy accessible by train from Amsterdam, Brussels and Paris...and even has its own airport. Are you interested to know more? Let us incentify you! |
